I have had numerous photographers ask me if I would be holding another workshop this year. I am happy to announce that YES, I WILL BE HOSTING AT LEAST ONE WORKSHOP THIS YEAR!

The workshop will be geared more towards beginner/intermediate level photographers with some experience, but all are welcome to attend. This year the workshop will be TWO DAYS in length, and will encompass both studio and on-location photography techniques. Some of the topics that will be covered:

  • Basic makeup techniques for the photographer.
  • Advanced makeup techniques (airbrush makeup application).
  • Studio lighting techniques and methods, including various lighting styles, proper placing of lighting, and lighting modifier selection and usage.
  • Camera and lighting equipment selection and configuration
  • Model posing tips and information.
  • Configuring a camera for tethered operation, as well as configuring a wireless camera adapter.
  • Configuring and using Image Transport Protocol (ITP2.0) under WindowsXP and Windows Vista, as well as configuring IIS for FTP usage
  • Using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for RAW image data manipulation, as well as using Lightroom to manage your image files.
  • Lightmeter usage for both indoor and outdoor scenarios.
  • Learning how to read a histogram, and properly exposing an image on a digital SLR.
  • Creative tips and tricks to help liven up dull backgrounds.
  • Information on creating a storage server to hold your image catalogs securely.
  • Securing the copyright of your work with the US Copyright office to protect yourself in case of copyright infringement, specifics of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act that are of interest to photographers, and the basics of the laws and regulations set forth in the Berne Convention.

Additionally, depending on interest, I may also hold a second workshop focusing more towards artistic nude photography. I generally do not do nude photography workshops, but if there is enough interest I will gladly teach one.
